Early look at Houston Cougars 2014 Schedule

The Houston Cougars finished last season 8-5, and ended the season on a sour note with a loss to the Vanderbilt Commodores in the BBVA Compass bowl. While finishing with a respectable record and bowl game was a good thing for Houston, Head Coach Tony Levine hopes to build on that success last season and have a better record this season. But the American Conference looks to be tougher this season and that could hinder the Cougars season.

The Cowboys are the Kardashians of the NFL

The Dallas Cowboys have slowly become more of a circus in the NFL than a team with a winning tradition. It seems when the Cowboys are mentioned on TV, it is because of some off the wall statement by Jerry Jones or from something not football related. Jerry Jones recently said the Cowboys are part of “the highest rated show on TV”. Um, Jerry, I didn’t think the NFL was a show, I thought it was a sport.

Golf may have a new superstar in the making, and he showed just how calm and poised he can be on golf’s biggest stage. Did Tiger Woods Take Steroids or HGH?

I will probably get blasted for even posing this question, because it seems unimaginable for some people to think Tiger Woods, or any golfer would even take steroids. But before you decide to throw me into the fire, just think about some of the things that have gone on for the last few years. Some of it adds up to some suspicious thoughts about him and his sudden decline.

Early Look at Texas Tech 2014 schedule

The Texas Tech Red Raiders are coming off a surprising run under new head coach Kliff Kingsbury last season. But this year they will be looking to build on what they did last season and improve. Most people didn’t have them making a bowl game last year and they made the Holiday Bowl.

Early look at Baylor 2014 schedule

The Baylor Bears are coming off one of their most successful seasons in school history, they are the defending Big XII champions, and they played in their first BCS bowl. Needless to say expectations will be very high in 2014 from a fan base who is learning what it is like to have a winning program. But I think the bigger expectations will be from head coach Art Briles because this team looks to have reloaded and wants to prove last year was not a fluke.

The Rangers are coming off taking three out of four against division foe Seattle, and they will finish off their home stand with a three game series against the Chicago White Sox.   This could be a big series for the Rangers since they will hit the road after this for back to back series against divisional opponents on the road, while the division may not be won in April, it can be lost if you have a poor enough showing.

Dallas Stars Playoff Bound

The Dallas Stars clinched a playoff berth for the first time in eight years, while it has been a while since the Stars tasted post season hockey, this will be an exciting time for the young Stars team. Once you make the post season, anything can happen and the Stars have about as good a chance as anyone else in the playoffs. Because it is about getting hot when it matters most.

Early Look at Texas A&M 2014 schedule

The Texas A&M Aggies will go into the 2014 season with high hopes and high expectations after two full seasons in the Southeastern Conference and some success. But the Aggies are going to have to take on this coming season without, probably the best and most polarizing player to ever wear a Texas A&M uniform.
