Legacies on the Line for Heat

The Miami Heat looked like they had a cakewalk to the NBA Finals. Making quick work of the Bucks and Bulls, it looked like a foregone conclusion that LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh would be celebrating again with a championship. But the Indiana Pacers have fought back and forced a Game 7, to be played tonight in Miami. For the Pacers, a win would give them a legacy in the history books of the NBA. For the Heat, this would be a major collapse, the opposite of last year’s comeback against the Celtics. Individual legacies would also be changed quite a bit for Miami if they lost tonight, and not just for the Big Three.

LeBron James would not be judged too harshly by a logically-thinking basketball fan if Miami lost tonight. After all, he has more or less been alone out there for the Heat this series. Dwyane Wade has…
