In the sports world, tensions naturally arise on the field and off. The players are battling for a championship and it’s natural for their family members to defend them, supporting them as they hope to perform at the highest level to the best of their ability. But sometimes that defense goes too far. Another example of going too far occurred Sunday night when Anna Burns Welker, wife of Patriot wideout Wes Welker, went to Facebook to air her frustrations about the Patriots losing the AFC Championship to Baltimore. “Proud of my husband and the Pats,” Welker wrote on her Facebook page. “By the way, if anyone is bored, please go to Ray Lewis’ Wikipedia page. 6 kids 4 wives. Acquitted for murder. Paid a family off. Yay. What a hall of fame player! A true role model!” She has since apologized for her comments and deleted the post, but everyone…
