Bubba Watson wins the 2012 Masters Tournament at Augusta National today in a play-off against Louis Oosthuizen to day to capture his first major win, and perhaps the most coveted in all of professional golf. This is especially sweet for Bubba since he lost a playoff that he really was in contention for in the 2010 PGA Championship.

2012 Masters Playoff Leaderboard (FINAL)
Playoff (FROM PGA.COM)
T-1. Watson-x (-10)
T-1. Oosthuizen (-10)
T-3. Westwood (-8)
T-3. Mickelson (-8)
T-3. Hanson (-8)
T-3. Kuchar (-8)
Watson, who said, “I never got this far in my dreams” and was reduced to tears after the six inch putt to seal the victory, the UGA Grad is perhaps the most humble to ever win the Green Jacket. The left hander who was paired with his leader board mate Oosthuizen all day, both finished 10 under par 278 in regulation, with lefty Phil Mickelson playing behind them thru the round. Mickelson finished two back at -8. What’s amazing is not just the raw emotion that encompasses all of sports in moments like these, is that the love he got from fellow pros Ben Crane, Rickie Fowler and a few others that shows he is a beloved player in the PGA and others feel he deserves this as much as they do.
A mis-shot almost counted Watson out during regulation, but he was in focus mode during the playoff, especially in the blind shot that ALMOST outshone Oosthuizen’s double eagle on the 2nd green during the day.
Congrats to the 2012 Masters Winner Bubba Watson, a character and A DAMN GOOD DAWG. A GO DAWGS.
And so we never forget who just won the Masters, this is a video to show how silly Bubba is:
